Our world runs on ambition and economic profits. Just look to the group trying to hijack our traditional democratic institutions today, the World ECONOMIC Forum. Not the World HUMAN Forum, for the lives of human beings are subservient this day, to the back pockets and insatiable appetites of greedy billionaires. This is our communal sickness. Billionaires are only the most afflicted, but this is a greater pandemic, than anyone could ever think up. This is not ‘natural’ behaviour, no child is born with an overwhelming ambition to ‘become something’ in life. This is partly educated and partly traditional human behaviour. Becoming, more than you are. Becoming, demands a sense of time, to become into, and so we give birth living this way, to a conceptual sense of inward time, and this, is the birth of huge ongoing illusions for our race. We do not live in this present moment any more, which is the moment of all life creativity, the new, this present moment, the only moment of true relationship, and so potential for love between us - now - all which is real and all true - becomes ignored, as humanity ever seeks to ‘become’ more than he is today. In a future concept. Awareness of this present moment, where life is found, naturally fades from view and consideration. 'Me', and 'my future' isolated success, Is the only thing important. In competition, battles and wars, against all others doing the very same. This need to create a conceptual future, for my conceptual inward ‘self’ to move into, to become more, is one of the main reasons why our race lives with a constant sense of inner fear. Fear arises within us, for we no longer find life sustenance and beauty in meeting only this moment in front of us, now we must be certain that our future, (which is ever conceptual, and so ever an unknown) – is going to bring to my life the prizes I seek. I live in fear that it may not, and even if I do manage to acquire that which I seek in my never ending greed and brutal competition, I fear I may come to lose it. For all, are seeking, what I have. Psychological fear, is an outcome, of living dividedly, seeking future gain and future salvation. It is also a completely illusory approach to life for there never has been, never will be, a “future”. The ‘future’, when it comes, strangely, is always now. As every moment, always is. Rather alarming, that the richest people in this world, the world ‘leaders’ – do not understand this. Intelligence, never did equate with immense wealth, in fact, usually, the opposite is true. For men, whose only interest is in increasing their pile, are not the most passionate in understanding anything about life, other than how to bring more to their lives, to attempt to fill their empty hearts. But the filling, is the emptying, for the beauty of life is not found in acquiring more, it is found, in living now, which is denied in the activity, of selfishly ever seeking more. Why perhaps, no rich men, are welcome in the kingdom of heaven. What wise man would waste his life, in pointlessly ever trying to gather more to his life than he could ever need? Precisely. Not one. So great wealth, is never, great intelligence. As fear, is the result of a childhood conditioned scholastically approach to life, as this is learned behaviour, what is learned, may be unlearned. A world without fear, is possible. But for this to happen, mankind must go through an internal revolution of heart and mind. The ambitiously driven educated self must come to end.
