Do you feel free in life? What is freedom? Is it the right to do what you want to do, whenever you want to do it? Is your life free? The human psychological state is prone to many disturbances, worries, depressions, fears, anxieties. Can a mind capable of falling into these inner undesired psychological states ever consider itself 'free'? We have all been educated to 'become' something in life. Can I be free, when I am seeking to 'become'? Are we free when forced to comply to the desires of a societal authority, political, national, religious, ideological or otherwise?
This world is not a free world, because human consciousness, the ground we all stand on, is not, in itself free. Which describes adequately why our society is not free. The consciousness we live within is a handed down system of knowledge passed through the centuries, educated into us all during school years. This educated continuity of knowledge is divisive between us, and varies in nature dependant on the geographical location of the world a child is born into. A child born in Italy, will be raised a Catholic and an Italian, in North Korea he will be educated to hold an adoration for the State and the ruling figure of the day. Born in Israel he will be born and raised to be a Jew, and in Palestine, born and raised to be an Arab and a Muslim. And our world remains divided and at war.
Children come and go, new human beings, but all children are conditioned by a respective society, to divisive societal principles within the totality of humanity keeping us divided and killing each other for thousands of years. It is sobering to recognise that in the past 6,000 years of history, humanity has had 6,000 wars. Divisions between people are the cause of every conflict, divisons between people are educated into every one of us during our school years, when we are educated to our place in the world, which group of people we belong to, and which religious identities we follow. We live this way because we find security living in the past. These identities which bring us continuously to kill each other on a battlefield are a continuity of ideologies long standing, offering security in continuity and belonging to a group of people. We are all involved in the very same psychological movement, but we somehow fail to notice, that the divisions between these groups give rise to the constant need to waste so much of our energy in battle against other groups and in the lost lives of our children. This is our patterned and accepted, unquestioned approach to life. We live dividedly, and divided people fight.
Yet our divisons are not in any way natural to our lives, these are all educated and conceptual in nature. Meaning, they can be ended. The difficulty with the ending however, is that we have each of us been educated, conditioned, programmed almost, from birth, to identify our lives with these educated concepts. And so, asking a person to walk away from the life they lead in this present moment, to die to their past, is in a very real sense, akin to asking that person to die to what they believe constitutes the very ground of their life existence. But how can we be free, when each of us carries an inward authority to divisive societal conceptual principles which continually bring our lives to conflict? The world foray into the 'Great Reset' this day, is an outcome of the same psychological divisive manner in which we all live. When we live dividedly as we do, and when we each of us seeks the continuity of our little divisive group, which holds longstanding and historical conflicts with other groups, (which is guaranteed for a division is a required precursor to conflict), we continue these longstanding conflicts into eternity.
Our world becomes a bloody competitive tribal affair, which is what it is. In such an unfortunate continuous climate, domination is sought by one group over the others. This is natural in an insane world, which sees traditionally living continuously dividedly as the only valid approach to life. Is there a way out of this trap? There is, but it demands the denial of the divisive movements of thinking each of us carries. The demand is that we cease being that which we think we are, which divides us. Can we eradicate our memories of that which we find security psychologically living within, educated into us as young children, which divide us form others in this world? How can we ever be free otherwise?
Freedom is not a matter of only external. It is primarily an internal psychological condition of living free from the constraints of every authority. The authority of our society is not only external, many seeds were planted internally in our thinking during our school years. A mind can only be free, when inner educated constraints have been understood and ended. A free mind, is the only thing ever which will be in any position to build a free world. All other approaches are cages and jailers. For as we think we live, and we think dividedly.
