DESIRE IS KILLING USWhat do you want in life? We have all been conditioned to live in desire, to grow, to achieve, to succeed. Some men want to live a life of peace, to find a corner to rest in and quietly raise a family. Some men want to travel to Mars. Others want this day to change our world and all our lives beyond all known prior recognition, regardless if the majority of us want that or not. To want something, is to desire something. What’s involved? What does it mean to desire? It means to seek to bring something present to life not present now, does it not? In a future incarnation. Not now, for if it was here now, there would be no need to desire it. I can only desire what I don’t have, but feel would be of benefit, having. Desires fuel war and the hugely profiting arms industry behind them. Desires fuel corrupt politicians. Desires fuel the World Economic Forum. Desire fuels the purchase of a bigger house, the getting into debt, the chasing of a woman by a man. Desire fuels the incessant drive for greater profits behind every large corporation, industry and government. Desire is the search for greater pleasure in life in a time other than now. When we get what we want, be it a woman, (or a man), a house, a Communist run world with me in the throne of dictator, a flight ticket to Mars, the next hundred billion or the down payment on a a rented home, the desire disappears. At least the desire for what has been achieved disappears, desire then goes looking elsewhere, does it not? If I get my bigger house, I want another, or I want two. Be nice to have one in the city for winter, one in the country for summer, perhaps. If I pay off my debts, I can afford new debts, to pleasure my life all the more with whatever I desire. If I get the woman, (or man), I have become fixated upon, In time I may come to compare her, (or him), to others. Perhaps I would be happier with her, with another - she is prettier, a better match, this girl bores me now, or does not stimulate me so much anymore. If I succeed in taking over the entire world, my desires will not end there. Such a situation can only provide feeling that I am the God sanctioned dictator of all, the controller of life itself, the creation which has surpassed even the creator and my ongoing desires and this can only make the lives of so many other miserable and fearful, as I force them to comply to the incessant never ending obedience to my projected desires. Look to China or North Korea for living examples. If I succeed in reaching Mars, I may consider getting beyond the solar system in entirety. Desire, is limitless and desire is endless. And that’s the way we function, it’s how we have been programmed to function. And that which knows no end, can never arrive. Can never be complete. Can never be whole. And the word whole, has deep etymological relationship to the word 'holy'. Desire is also what is tearing us all apart and destroying our lives and our world. We desire what we consider to be good and valuable, beautiful and rewarding, all desire is built on the pleasure principle. Pleasure is the seeking of something I have past experience of. One man may desire to reach Mars, he cannot desire to reach a planet so far from earth, to date it has been undetectable to our scientific instruments. So desire, has relationship to what is known. What is known, is always in the past. Knowledge, is the past. I cannot know the living moment of movement of life, I cannot know creation, it is in constant movement, changing, moment by moment. Neither can I know the future, which is unknowable in nature, though in the movement of desire, in my lust for greater pleasure, I may attempt to bring the future under my domination. I may conjure imaginary 'Great Resets', seek to reimagine all, and may successfully encourage many others to believe that my desire occupies the position of genius. For we all desire, and so we can all be led, join my desire, you will find pleasurable position there. A promise, is never a present fulfilment. The present is real and true, the future, is only always an idea. Is desire the appropriate tool to bring into being a balanced, sane, fair life and world? Or is desire the very antithesis of this? Let’s look closer. Does desire lead us to the heaven it eternally promises? Or the hell we, as a race, have and continually live under? Desire is related to what I know. If I never met a girl, (or boy), I cannot desire their company, sexual or otherwise. So desire is related to my past experiences. My past experiences are limited in nature, as I cannot experience all. I also have a different set of recorded past experiences to yours. No one, shares the same past. If my life is built on a progression of desires, I therefore am living a life completely separate from yours. And my life, is never complete. I am on a train track towards my desired goals, you are on a track to yours, and we can never meet in complete relationship, where and when we find our lives to be. Here, and now, where we always are and where we always will be. We can never meet - other than superficially. And we come to use each other, if we consider another can help to fulfil our own desires, we use each other. Every business is built on this premise. No worker is paid what value he truly brings to the company, the company benefits the most, the worker achieves the sustenance for his or her life, (usually as little as the company can get away with paying), which of course, is all based on desire. Desire is the driving force of all our lives. And desire is divisive element between us and focusses our energies on our own isolated life position and removes our attention from where we are. Where we are going, becomes the most important and dominating factor of our lives. Desire brings fear to life, I may not get what I desire, and if I do, another may take it from me. Including my life itself, if that intrudes upon the envisioned desire of another. We have all been programmed to this. School did this to us. School led our brains into a pattern of living in the past (memorising), and seeking a better future by building on a continuity of that past. (Passing future exams). All this steeped in the classroom atmosphere of competition, which is a subtle form of violence, and self interest and self focus, which is to diminish interest in the lives of others. Obeying the authority figure of a teacher figure. See a recurring life pattern here? Is there not another way of living? If not, our lives are hardly worth living. Our lives are a living hell. We will ultimately, as we have been countless times, come to be dominated in the shadow of some man’s unlimited desires, thinking himself genius, commanding obedience to all his desires. In opposition to yours or your life itself. Forced to eat what we have no taste for, forced to live where and how we have no desire to, forced to medicate when we have no need to, forced to breathe in chemicals falling from the sky, sprayed onto our foods, forced to endure wars and lose connection with our loved ones, forced to accept the meaning of the word 'religion' without any first hand investigation and so understanding of our own, forced to accept truths as lies and lies as truths. For a truth repeated without understanding, becomes a lie. All chaos in our lives appears to arrive from competing desires. Desire, perhaps not such a pleasurable a thing after all? Desire, as previously mentioned, sees us all aiming for differing future states, and so divides humanity in thought and action. Desire is founded on past experiences, and so the future can only become a modified continuity of what I have previously experienced and a continuity of divisions between us all, which leads us to war.
Desire never completes, once a desire is captured, desire remains, and finds a new goal. Desire removes our vision from this present moment of life, as a driving energy in life and places it in a concept of a future. Desire is self-interest, and so highly limited in the interest of others. In this way, desire denies relationship and love between human beings. This has been how society has raised us, built from the desires of previous men who sought their own benefit to grow their own desires from a highly questionable 'education' system. John D. Rockefeller being one of those men. Is life to be found in the future which our desires leads us into? Is life in a continuity of a past remembered? Or is life only found now? Apparently we are this day building a better future, in a conceptual 'Great Reset' many influential and wealthy people have bought into. Somewhere, this is one man's or perhaps a few men's desires. Those holding the largest of desires. Is this truly the 'Nirvana', the ending of war, famine and petulance, it claims to be? How can it be? If life is now, then any planning to better life in a future incarnation of it which can only exist in a conceptual idea, is nothing other than an illusion, a hope, a desire. And so a continuity of division in the lives of men, a self interested movement arising from the past, and so completely uninterested in the lives of others. Leading to divisions, leading to war. A continuity of a world of thirty six trillion in tax havens as six million children die of starvation every year. I cannot act now to change this, for I am occupied. My future, my desires are more important than the manifest world in front of my eyes. I am consumed with my vision for my future divisive isolated life destroying 'Nirvana'. And my vision for my future Nirvana, destroys all potential for a present life of dignity for all of humanity this day. Desire is killing our lives.

AuthorHello to all, I am a 60 year old man who has spent the best part of his life studying the teachings of J.Krishnamurti. My name is Henryk. I am rather unimportant, although what I talk about on these pages, has great importance. Particularly today, in this dark world, led by men of infinite wealth, unfortunately without the intelligence to match. My work here stands on the shoulders of that of J.Krishnamurti. Without this man's passion and great life understanding, this website would never have existed. His effect on my own life has been immeasurable. A man of infinite vision and wisdom, who spent over 60 years of his life travelling the world and discussing life and societal problems. Krishnamurti passed away in the 1980s. Anyone interested in the nature of discussion in the content of this site, will likely find great interest in the work of Krishnamurti. Hundreds of videos may be found on YouTube. There is a link above dedicated to his work to which new content is planned to be regularly added. The beauty of truth in life, is that it is identical for each one of us. Truth is the place we all come to meet in unity. And truth belongs to no man. Only pointless opinions, divisive, traditional, educated into and gathered by us, may be claimed as ownership. The change in our world so desperately needed this day, is within us, not external to our lives. All man's actions begin in the area of human thinking, it is this needs understood and brought to revolution. Thanks for taking the time to visit, a few posts are being added to the site weekly at the moment, when I find time. If you would like to support the work here, you can do so from the price of a cup of coffee each month, contributors are invited to online discussions.
